Sherry, Natalie, LJ and Lani come visit

Ever since my grand nephew, LJ, was a baby, he's been coming to visit us in Montana. We look forward to these vacations, and we've enjoyed watching LJ grow into a strong, sensitive, 10 1/2 yr.old with solid convictions on right and wrong, and a tenacious spirit! (you'll see what I mean in later posts :)  THIS year, we got to meet his little sister, Leilani! (or Lani, for short).  What a treat!

My sister, Sherry, who lives in New Rochelle, NY, accompanied LJ and Lani, as well as their mother, Natalie.  The GOOD news, is that Natalie and her family have moved to Seattle! so, now they are MUCH closer, and will be able to come visit more often.

LJ is a wonderful big brother to his 18 mos. old sister.  He is VERY patient with her (well... MOST of the time :) 

He plays with her, keeping her entertained, and it's obvious she adores her big brother.

Both LJ and Lani love animals.

Although, the animals might just like LJ a bit better (he's not as hard on them! :)  Lani LOVES to pet Selkie, and India... but she calls it "softing".  She says "I soft Selkie!" etc. probably because she hears everyone saying, "Lani! Be soft!"  LOL

Lani is a bright, mischievous spirit- full of fun! She carries on long conversations, and sometimes you can understand what she's saying! (actually, MOST of the time you know exactly what she's saying).  She repeats everything she hears! 

LJ is a handsome boy who loves athletics as well as his Wii.  Natalie tells how he's always outside playing on his bike, with his friends, etc.

He's a child of the technological age... I don't think there's a computer, or game console that he hasn't mastered. When I let him borrow my DS, and my iPod Touch, he quickly beat my highest scores. 

Natalie is a very proud mother! (as she should be!).  Both kids are SO well behaved! polite, and smart.

And they love their Mom and their Oma (my sister, Sherry... and btw.. this is a HORRIBLE photo of Sherry. She's absolutely gorgeous... and this doesn't look much like her at all. Sorry).

Now look at this precious face! Can you believe she's saying, "LJ did it!" hehehe  when LJ wasn't even in the room!
